Placenta Previa

Well.. Today I had both good and bad news.. Had an appointment with the pakar or genealogist at the general hospital.. What's weighted on my mind is whether my thyroid level is ok.. I had several test and the result is low.. I am confused which result to use.. TSH, T3 or T4.. So got that clarified in the beginning, its T4.. So mine's ok, even its a tad on the low side, it is still within heavy range...

Got my heartbeat checked.. Seems no prob.. Asked about my tiredness as well as cramping.. No prob and lack of calcium so the good doctor gave me a calcium supplement prescription..

So, everything's going well.. She said just go for the routine ultrasound and if there's no prob, I can just go home...

So, here's the drama where I got both my bad and good news...

Well, first me and the lady (dunno the exact name for the ultrasound handler) had fun looking at the baby.. Length.. Expected diameter of head, body, position.. Then she exclaim might be a "Chik Mek" aka female cz no birdie on sight.. However she caution me that its might easily be the other way cz its not 100% true.. Hehehe.. Anyway, I am a bit quite positive cz I discover 2 things this time that's different from my two boys 1) I like to sleep on my left side and 2) my nipples a bit lighter in colour than with my boys that's darker...

Anyway.. Then she checked the position.. Oooo seems like the baby's a bit low.. Then kinda like something covering the bottom of the uterus.. So, along she called up the doctor (hehe.. Kinda like this doctor.. She seems serious and unfriendly in the beginning but afterwards seems ok)...

She looked at the scan.. Then the technician suggested it might be fibroids.. (Huhuhu.. Need to do my pap smears after delivery.. Next on my agenda).. She said no.. Than said to me rather morbidly that it might be placenta previa and I need to do repeat ultrasound 2 weeks afterwards as well as the next two weeks if things do not improved. Then she said to remind the staffs to just arrange for scan.. No need to meet the doctor unless my condition doesn't change and citing 2 reasons 1) low laying placenta and 2) previous history of ceaserean birth.. She said If things don't improve, I might need to be admitted into hospital soon.. Erkk??!!?!

Hurm.. That's it.. I didn't really feel its a serious condition until I went back to the office and googled for more info.. Well, seems that it is serious.. Might result in miscarriage and dangerous to both baby and mom! Wow! No need to persuade me, I will definitely follow doctor's order on this.
